You asked, and we listened! FRONTSTEPS is constantly working to improve the functionality of all products within our suite. We’re excited to share a new update within our visitor management system, which improves the recognition rate of license plates captured by our security software.
This update was published back on March 9th and directly impacted clients who utilize FRONTSTEPS Security, more specifically those who use license plate recognition. This software captures license plates coming into the community and then transfers the information to our gatehouse app station. Our teams worked on updating the backend coding files to improved transfer speeds from 2-3 minutes down to 2-5 seconds.
Our software is designed to transfer plates as instantly as possible from the computer to our stations. This provides security staff the ability to add license plate data to a guest record automatically. Having plates transfer more quickly allows the data to be ready for security staff within a moment’s notice. This feature provides our clients with a working LPR system to improve security and increase processing speed for guest entry.
