Giving Back to Our Community this Holiday Season

Giving back is an important part of our culture at FRONTSTEPS. Our team is very thankful for what we have, even more so during this time of the year. Unfortunately, not everyone in the metro area is as fortunate. Since we’re focused on building stronger, more connected communities, it made sense for us to focus our charitable efforts on helping those in need in the Denver community. Here’s how our team is working to help bring joy to Denverites in need this season.

Adopt a family

Last year we adopted a Denver family in need. Our team purchased gifts for every family member so their tree wouldn’t sit empty. Everyone enjoyed this experience so much that we decided to make it an annual tradition and are looking forward to adopting another family this year.

A Stronger Cord

This year, we formed a partnership with local nonprofit, A Stronger Cord. Their goal is to help those facing homelessness and addiction rebuild personal bonds and social productivity through community workouts. These high-paced, 60-minute workouts are led by volunteers at the Phoenix Multisport facility in downtown Denver. Our team began joining these workouts earlier this year to show our support for this community. Our next scheduled workout is in early December, and we can’t wait to get our sweat on!

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless

Like many cities around the country, Denver has been facing an increase in homelessness. This has led to many people either choosing or being forced to camp instead of staying in shelters. We want to do what we can to help this community, and have been collecting donations, from hygiene products to food, throughout the year to donate to local nonprofit, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.

AmazonSmile

Another simple way we like to give back is through AmazonSmile. We order all office supplies and snacks through AmazonSmile, which contributes a to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.
